LACK OF COLOR VS. URBAN OUTFITTERS DUPE REVIEW

Whenever I post a photo with a flat brim hat, I always link the Lack of Color Rancher and the Urban Outfitters dupe version for you to shop. If you've been debating on one, I'm gonna compare and contrast since I own both!

Pros
Comes in sizes
Trim around brim edge
Can be steamed to flatten
100% Australian Wool (a woven textile that has been washed and agitated causing the fibers to shrink (known as felting). Felted wool fibers make the weave of the fabric very tight and resistant to fraying. Because it's woven, the texture is softer and drapes nicer than the felt options)
Amazing quality
Available in lots of colors

Cons
More expensive ($129)

Pros
Shorter brim
Can be steamed to flatten
1/3 the price of the Lack of Color ($44)
Available in lots of colors

Cons
Feels cheaper
No trim around brim edge
One size with adjustable band
Made of wool felt, super stiff. (a non-woven textile. There is no thread or weaving involved in production. It originates as wool roving and by adding heat, moisture and agitation, the roving compacts and matts together tightly to form what we refer to as pure wool felt)

Overall, if I had to pick, I choose the Lack of Colors Rancher. Yes it's an investment, but this hat will last for years and years. I also love that it comes in sizes - it's a more comfortable fit! However, I absolutely love Urban Outfitter's, especially for the price. I didn't want to drop the dough for a pink-toned hat, so that's why I got the UO version. I eventually want to add the ivory white UO to my collection, too 😂

Ultimately, it comes down to how much you care about quality and how much you'll wear it! If you wear hats often, invest in the good one! You won't regret it! But if you're not sure you'll like it or won't wear it much, then get the Urban Outfitters hat and try it out! As far as looks go, you seriously can't tell a difference!
