2020 INSPIRATION AND QUOTES

So, just being honest, I debated on sharing a 'new year post' because I don’t have many goals for 2020. I can set goals any time, and besides growing my IG following, I don’t have anything in particular at the moment! I'm very content. How boring is that?! 😂 So, this is more of a 2019 reflection.

I have had the most blessed and lucky past 27 years, including the year 2019. I’ve got a drama free sweet family, healthy parents who are some of my favorite people in the world, just a handful (that’s all I need!) of the most loyal best friends, an angel of a boyfriend, a career that I feel God led the way for me to get to, and I’ve always had more than I’ve ever wanted or needed. My blog is just a sweet cherry on top!

Looking back at last year’s post with my favorite quotes, they’re still some of my favorites. (Read it here). I decided to take the “don’t ever settle” road in 2019 and don’t regret it for a second. Now I realize that refusing to settle played hand in hand with self love and acceptance.

I truly hope that in 2020 you can work to value yourself as much as I’ve come to do. I see so many friends compromise their happiness just because they’re afraid of change and to move on. It aggravates me so much and is so unfair. We have one short life, and the time only speeds up as we get older. You are in control of your happiness!

My friends at work say “they wish they were as hardcore as me” when it comes to moving on from people and situations, haha 😂 Not that I don’t struggle with that at times, but when you know your worth, and know that you’re better off by yourself than with a crap person or situation in your life, it makes it a heck of a lot easier. And when you surround yourself with people that care as much about you as you do them, it’s a great warm and fuzzy feeling. Realize what a great friend, parent, teacher, mentor, coworker, caretaker, etc you are, and that you’re irreplaceable. What do you have that no one else can offer? You deserve all that’s good, don’t ever settle for anything that doesn’t set your soul on fire.

On your bad days, try shifting your perspective into a more positive frame of mind. Maybe it’s raining for the 5th day in a row, but hey at least the flowers are getting a good drink, ya know. And it might be a crap Monday, but at least you’re on the right side of the ground for it!

This was a bit of a ramble, but I’ve never been a good writer anyway. I'll just let all the quotes do the talking 😂 I hope you got the gist and enjoy the words that are inspiring me for 2020! LOVE YOURSELF, Y’ALL!
